Age Groups
Swimmers' age as of June 1 dictates their age group for practice and competition.

Open to 8 and under swimmers who can swim a 25 meter freestyle but are not ready for meets. The goal for this group is to progress to competition during the season.
8 and Under Age Group
Swimmers need to be able to swim both freestyle and backstroke. Competition will consist of 25 meter events in each stroke. There will also be medley and freestyle relays (4 x 25M swims). Swimmers will be assigned to practice lanes based on ability and training needs.
9-10 Age Group
This age group competes in 50 meter races of each stroke as well as the 100 meter Individual Medley (one lap of each of the four strokes). There will also be medley and freestyle relays (4 x 50M swims). Swimmers will learn to do effective flip-turns and develop more endurance for racing, and an emphasis on stroke development will continue. Swimmers will be assigned to practice lanes based upon ability and training needs.
11-12 Age Group
This age group competes in 50 meter races of each stroke as well as the 100 meter Individual Medley (one lap of each of the four strokes). There will also be medley and freestyle relays (4 x 50M swims). Practices will focus on both technique and development of endurance. Swimmers will be assigned to practice lanes based upon ability and training needs.
13-14 Age Group
This age group competes in 50 meter races of each stroke as well as the 100 meter Individual Medley (one lap of each of the four strokes).
